Open Ledger in the Tacey menu. It is a record of every change made to an order through Tacey: what the order looked like before, what it looks like now, whether money moved, and who asked for the change. Nothing is left out, including changes that were refused or failed.
Why this exists
When a customer edits an order, the order changes in Shopify, but Shopify does not always move the money to match. A customer can remove an item and not be refunded, or add one and not pay. Many stores only find out weeks later. The ledger is where you check, for any order, that the change and the money line up.
The Ledger page
Open Ledger from the Tacey menu.
Each row is one change, newest first.
Click the order number, or View, to open that order.
Until the first order is edited, the page reads The ledger starts filling when your first order is edited.
Search and filters
Search by order number to jump to one order's changes.
What changed: for example Shipping address changed, Items changed, Discount applied, Order cancelled, Contact details changed, Note or gift message added, Combined with another order, Combined into another order, Customer kept their address after a warning, and Address changed shipping cost.
Who asked: The customer, You or Tacey.
Money: Added after checkout (money collected from the customer after the order was placed), Refunded after checkout (money returned), and Action needed (money that a person still has to settle).
If a filter matches nothing, the page says No changes match these filters yet.
The Last 30 days cards on Home link straight into the ledger with the right filter already on. For example, clicking Refunded after checkout shows only the refunds.
One order's record
Every order in Tacey has its own Reconciliation ledger panel on its order page (Orders, then click the order). It lists that order's changes in the same way, with:
what kind of change it was,
the before and after values,
the money result,
Asked by the customer, you, or Tacey,
Confirmed by Shopify, or Not confirmed by Shopify yet.
If the order has not been changed, the panel reads: "No edits yet. Every change a customer makes to this order will be recorded here..."
Refused and failed changes are recorded too
A ledger that only showed successes would hide exactly the cases you need to see. So when a change does not go through, the row says why, for example Shopify refused this change, Stopped before reaching Shopify, or The change could not be sent, with Shopify's own reason underneath where there is one. Tacey's own reasons are written plainly, such as "Your settings don't let customers make this change."
What this does NOT do
It does not show edits you make yourself in the Shopify admin. Tacey did not make those changes, so it cannot vouch for them. Shopify's own order timeline shows them.
It does not delete rows. A change stays on record even after the order ships.
It keeps personal details only as long as it is allowed to. If a customer asks for their data to be erased, their details in the ledger are replaced with Details removed at the customer's request. The record that a change happened, and what money moved, stays.
