How do I check how many orders I have used in Tacey?

Read the usage meter on Tacey's Billing page: orders used, orders remaining, and when your count resets.

Written by Joseph Odera

Tacey shows exactly how many of your plan's orders you have used, how many are left, and the date your count starts again. It is always on the Billing page, not only when you are close to the limit.

Where to find it

  1. In Tacey, open Billing from the left-hand menu.

  2. Look at the Orders used section at the top of the page.

The page title area also shows a short summary, such as "412 of 750 orders".

What the usage meter shows

What you see

What it means

{used} of {cap} orders

Orders counted in your current 30-day period, out of your plan's number.

remaining

How many orders are left before address checks pause.

On track

You have used less than 80% of your orders for this period.

Near limit

You have used 80% or more.

At limit

You have used them all. New orders are not being address-checked until the count resets or you upgrade.

This count resets on {date}

The exact end of your current 30-day period.

If Tacey offers a bigger plan, you also see an Upgrade to {plan} button, and a Manage plan button that opens your plan options.

If the meter does not load

Now and then, Tacey may not be able to read your count at that moment. You then see:

> We could not read your usage just now > Your plan is unaffected and your orders are still being processed. Reload in a moment to see your current count.

Tacey shows this message rather than showing a zero, because a zero would suggest you have used nothing. Reload the page after a moment.

Other places your usage shows up

  • The dashboard banner. When you reach your limit, a banner appears at the top of the dashboard: "New orders are not being address-checked", with the date your count resets and a See plans and usage button.

  • The plans list. If a plan's number is below what you have already used this period, its row says so, so you do not downgrade into a plan that is already full.

What this does NOT do

  • It does not count customer edits. Only new orders count, once each.

  • It does not show a calendar month. Your period is 30 days from your own billing date.

  • It does not send you an email when you get close. Check the meter, or watch for the dashboard banner.

Frequently asked

My usage says "Near limit" early in the period. What should I do?

If the rest of the period is likely to go over, upgrade now. An upgrade applies as soon as Shopify accepts it, so your new, higher number is in effect straight away.

Why is my count lower than the number of orders in Shopify?

Orders with no shipping address, such as digital-only orders, are not counted. Your count also only includes orders created since your current 30-day period began.
