Choosing a Tacey plan comes down to one question: roughly how many orders does your store get in a month? Every plan has every feature, so you are only picking how many orders Tacey handles for you.
Why it is only one question
All six plans include the same tools, the same address check and the same record of every change. Tacey's own plan screen says it directly: "Every plan has every feature. Nothing above is locked behind a higher tier. The only difference is order volume, so this is really one question."
So you never need a bigger plan to unlock something. You only need a plan whose monthly order volume is above what your store actually does.
How Tacey suggests a plan
When you first open Tacey, the Choose a plan screen asks: "Roughly how many orders do you get a month?" Pick the closest answer and Tacey shows a Suggested plan, based on your answer.

Tacey always suggests the cheapest plan that fits your answer. The suggestion is only a starting point. You can pick a different plan on the next screen, which is Shopify's own pricing page listing all six.
If you get more than 20,000 orders a month
High Volume is the largest plan. If you choose "More than 20,000", Tacey tells you: "Start on High Volume and talk to us, and we will sort out the right arrangement."
Tips for choosing
Look at your busiest recent month, not your average. Tacey counts orders in 30-day periods. If a sale or holiday pushes you over your plan's number, address checks pause until the period resets.
Leave some room. A store doing about 700 orders a month is right at Starter's 750. If you are growing, the next plan up avoids hitting the limit.
Remember trial orders count. Orders during your 14-day free trial count toward the same monthly number.

What this does NOT do
Tacey does not move you to a bigger plan automatically, even if you keep going over. Shopify does not do it either. You choose.
Picking a smaller plan does not remove any tool. It only lowers the number of orders Tacey checks each month.

Do orders from a sales channel other than my online store count?
Tacey counts orders Shopify sends it when they are created. What matters is the number of orders, not where they came from.
I picked the wrong plan. Is that a problem?
No. Open Billing in Tacey and switch. An upgrade applies immediately; a downgrade applies at your next renewal.
