Every order on your Tacey Orders page shows one result in the Address check column. Here is what each one means, and what, if anything, you should do.
The results

What "Needs attention" usually means
"Needs attention" covers addresses where a person should have a quick look. Common reasons:
A missing apartment or unit number in a building with several units.
A PO box. Postal services deliver to PO boxes, but some couriers cannot.
Part of the address did not confirm. Under the address, Tacey may say which part, for example "Not confirmed by the address check: street, postal code."
Only the area could be confirmed. In some countries, the best available check confirms the town or area but not the exact street.
"Needs attention" never means the order is a problem or the customer did something wrong. It is about the address only.
What "Not checked" means
"Not checked" means Tacey let the order through without checking its address. That is on purpose, so a check can never hold up a sale. The common reasons are:
The country or state is switched off in your settings under Which countries to check. That was your choice.
Your plan's orders for this 30-day period are used up. Checks start again when your count resets or you upgrade.
The address-checking service did not answer at that moment. Tacey lets the order through rather than make it wait.
The Analytics page breaks these down under What happened to each address, with labels such as Outside your checked regions and Address service did not answer.
"Not checked" is never shown as Verified. An address nobody checked is never given a green result.
Other things you might see on an order
Customer kept address: the customer saw Tacey's warning or suggestion and chose to keep their address as they typed it. Customers know where they live, so Tacey treats that as their answer, and marks it so you can spot it.
Tags on the order in Shopify
Tacey also tags the order in your Shopify admin, so you can filter orders or use them in Shopify Flow:
`tacey-validated`: Tacey is confident about the address.
`tacey-check-address`: Tacey is less sure, and the address is worth a look.
The tag reflects how confident the check was, so it does not always match the Address check column one for one. Orders that were not checked never get either tag.
What this does NOT do
A result never blocks, holds or cancels an order.
A result is not a judgement about your customer. Tacey describes whether a parcel can arrive, nothing else.
"Not checked" is not an error on your store. Nothing is broken; the order simply went through without a check.
Frequently asked
Why is a correct address showing "Needs attention"?
Usually because the check could only confirm part of it, often the area rather than the exact street, or because a unit number is missing. If you or the customer know it is right, it is fine to ship.
