Every Tacey plan starts with a 14-day free trial. During the trial you get the full product, with nothing held back, so you can see Tacey working on your real orders before you pay.
What the trial includes
Everything. Tacey has no feature differences between plans, and there is no separate "trial version". During your trial:
Every new order's shipping address is checked.
Every self-service tool you switch on works for your customers.
Every change a customer makes is recorded on the order.
How to start your trial
Install Tacey from the Shopify App Store and open it.
On the Choose a plan screen, answer "Roughly how many orders do you get a month?" Tacey suggests the plan that fits.
Click Start 14-day free trial.
Tacey takes you to Shopify's own pricing page, where all six plans are listed. Confirm the plan you want there.
Shopify brings you straight back to Tacey once the plan is approved.
As Tacey says on that screen: "You confirm on Shopify's own pricing page, where all six are listed, and you can change plans later at any time. Shopify bills through your existing Shopify invoice. Tacey never sees or stores a payment method."
Orders during the trial count
Orders placed during your free trial count toward your plan's monthly order volume, the same as orders after it. The trial is free, but it is not unlimited.
For example, if you start a trial on Tacey Starter (750 orders a month) and your store receives 800 orders in your first 30 days, Tacey checks the first 750 addresses and pauses address checks for the rest until your count resets. Your customers' self-service tools keep working the whole time.
If you expect a busy first month, choose a plan that fits that volume from the start. You can change plans during the trial.
When the trial ends
Shopify handles the switch from trial to paid. Your plan's price appears on your normal Shopify invoice, the same way other Shopify apps are billed. Tacey does not charge you directly.
What this does NOT do
The trial does not give you extra orders. Trial orders count toward the same monthly number as every other order.
Tacey does not store your card. Payment is between you and Shopify.
There is no free plan after the trial. When the trial ends, the plan you chose applies.

Can I change plans during the trial?
Yes. Open Billing in Tacey and pick a different plan. Shopify handles the change.
Do I have to set anything up before the trial counts?
No. The trial starts when you confirm a plan on Shopify's pricing page. To make the customer tools visible, you do still need to add Tacey to your Thank you and Order status pages. See How do I add Tacey to my Shopify Thank you and Order status pages?.
