Recommended apps is a short list of other Shopify apps that Tacey's team thinks pair well with Tacey and are worth a look. It is a directory, nothing more. Tacey does not connect to, read from or share any data with these apps, and it does not change anything in your store.
Where to find it
You can open it three ways:
Where | What you do |
The Tacey menu | Recommended apps is the last of the seven entries in Tacey's left menu, after Settings. |
Settings | Open Settings, find the Recommended apps card and press See recommended apps. |
Home | Home shows a Recommended apps carousel near the bottom of the page. Use Previous apps and Next apps to move through it and the page counter ("1 of N") to see where you are. |
The page is titled Recommended apps and says Apps we think pair well with Tacey and are worth a look for your store.
Billing is no longer in the menu. It is the first card on Settings (press Open Billing), and your plan card on Home still takes you there too.
To close the Home carousel, press Hide recommended apps. It stays hidden when you reload Home in the same browser. The choice is saved per store in that browser, so a different browser or device still shows the carousel until you hide it there too. The Recommended apps page itself is not affected by hiding the carousel.
What a card shows
Each app is a card with its icon, name, By and the developer's name, one plain line about what it does for a store, a View in App Store button, and a pricing line from the Shopify App Store, for example Free to add. Judge.me Reviews fees may apply.
The name, icon, developer and pricing come live from Shopify's App Store, so a card shows the name Shopify has on the app's listing today. The one-line description is Tacey's own. Tacey does not show star ratings, because Shopify does not provide them to apps. The pricing line is Shopify's own wording and is not translated into your language.
The list Tacey keeps has seven apps, in this order:
Arbyn: customer support, from the same team as Tacey.
Sam Shipping Protection Suite (from ShopWil; its card shows the shorter name on its listing, currently Sam Shipping Protect): covers orders after they ship, such as lost, stolen or damaged packages, return shipping and extended warranties.
Replo Landing Page Builder: build landing and product pages without touching theme code.
BOOSTER SEO: image compression and SEO fixes.
Judge.me Reviews: collect product reviews and photos from your customers.
Klaviyo: Email Marketing & SMS: email and SMS campaigns and follow-ups.
AfterShip Tracking: branded tracking updates for shoppers.
The list is chosen by Tacey and can change. An app only appears when Tacey can load its listing, so you may see fewer cards than that (see below). On the dev store on 2026-11-02 and 2026-11-03 six cards showed and BOOSTER SEO was left off.
How many cards you see at once
Your screen | The Recommended apps page | The Home carousel |
Wide (a desktop browser) | Three cards side by side in each row | Three cards per carousel page |
Medium (a narrow window or a tablet) | Two cards per row | Three cards per carousel page |
Phone | One card per row, stacked | One card per carousel page |
The counter on the carousel counts pages, so with six apps on a wide screen it reads "1 of 2" and on a phone it reads "1 of 6" (with all seven, "1 of 3" and "1 of 7"). The last carousel page is always full, so you never see a page with one lonely card.
What View in App Store does
View in App Store opens the app's listing in the Shopify App Store in a new tab. It does not install anything by itself and does not leave your Tacey page. You choose to add the app from its listing, as with any app, and the app's own pricing and permissions apply.
Sam Shipping Protection Suite opens with Tacey's partner tag on the link, so ShopWil can tell the visit came from Tacey. The tag is the same for every store and carries no information about you or your store. No other card has a tag.
Tacey counts each press of View in App Store (which app, and whether it was pressed on the page or on Home) for its own product statistics. It records only the app, where you pressed and whether it is a partner app, and carries no order or customer details.
Tacey does not check whether you already have an app, so an app you have installed may still appear in the list.
When a card is missing
Tacey leaves an app off the page when it cannot load that app's listing from the Shopify App Store (the app was renamed or removed, or Shopify did not answer in time). You see no empty tile and no View in App Store button that goes nowhere, and the other cards are not affected. Reload later and the card comes back if its listing loads again. Tacey tries again on each visit and does not remember a card that failed.
If none of the apps can be loaded at once, the page says No recommended apps to show right now and We could not load the apps from the Shopify App Store. Try again in a little while, or browse the App Store directly. On Home the carousel simply does not appear in that case.
Frequently asked
Who chooses the apps? Tacey does. It is a curated list. Arbyn is made by the same company as Tacey, and Sam Shipping Protection Suite is a partner app from ShopWil.
Do these apps get my store data? Not from Tacey. Pressing View in App Store only opens a public listing. Adding an app from its listing is a separate step with that app's own permissions.
I cannot find Billing in the menu any more. It moved. Open Settings and press Open Billing on the first card. Nothing about your plan changed.
Can I remove the list from Home? Yes: Hide recommended apps on the carousel. The Recommended apps page stays in the menu and on Settings.
Why do I see six apps and not seven? An app is left off when Tacey cannot load its listing at that moment. Reload in a little while.
What this does not do
It does not install, connect or pay for any app. Everything after View in App Store happens in the Shopify App Store.
It does not read which apps you already have, so it never hides an app you own.
It does not show ratings or reviews of the apps.
It does not let you reorder, hide or add individual apps. The list is Tacey's.
Not yet driven
All of the above was read and pressed on the Tacey dev store on 2026-11-02 and 2026-11-03 at 1280 and 390 pixels wide, in English and French. It has not been looked at on a live store yet, so the menu position, the Settings cards and Sam Shipping Protection Suite appear in your admin only once this change reaches live stores.
The medium layout (two cards per row) is described from the page's code. It was not looked at on screen.
The message shown when no app can be loaded was checked in a rendered test, not on the live page, because the dev store cannot make every lookup fail at once. UNPROVEN live.
A press on a card that has no partner tag (for example Replo) was not opened and read on screen; that it carries no tag is shown by the page's data and by a test.
